Based on this I was thinking of a popularity contest, where all of our suggestions would be and they would be given votes by people that agree with them which would end up with them ordered based on popularity.

but that's basically the feedback forum if you sort by the plant tag it just seemed like that's not what he wanted

In any case a "ranked by popularity" vote could work, but the problem is putting it on another platform separates it further from the regular feedback forum. If a plant gets only one vote on the external vote system, but 25 votes in the feedback forum, how are those votes calculated?

I think at least for the time being it's proooobably better to play it by ear, maybe do a google doc/sheet if more thorough organization is needed

Probably best to just post links to the most voted and keep the messaging clean to avoid clutter instead of editing the post 100 times

at this point I think it' easiest to just sort the feedback forum by tag, use the plant tag and look at the crowny votes.

I'd prefer if a new vote is cast on a list that is posted all at once. Just so older posts don't automatically accrue more upvotes than younger ones.

Sheet would let you list a plant, link the original suggestion, link to an image/gallery, and list the number of votes as of the last update
