I’m not sure if this was scrapped or put off till a later time(because I saw it on the old kickstarter). But I think we need this to in the game at some point. I hope the devs see this to show that this mode would still be highly appreciated.
I REALLY would like to have a pov mode for the player in the game from the perspective of the humans in the park, more specifically as a park ranger. This is to get more of the sense of the immense scale of these extinct animals. I think it would take the game to an another level.
I would love to take control of a park ranger in a PK themed jeep. Nigel Marven Prehistoric Park style. You can even add the mechanic of needing to go into park ranger mode because you need to tranquilize an animal for multiple reasons. You could get accompanied by a security guard too if you want to add to the safety so that predators are less likely to chase you as a mechanic. You could choose to between going alone in or not.
A mechanic implemented could be a danger rating system unique to all the animals. Based on a number of factors. It could go from 1-10 stars and change in percentage value based on many the attributes of the animal. Informing the ranger how safe/unsafe it is getting into the enclosure with the animals. Your choice to go with security or not also affects this rating.
You could have carnivorous dinosaurs/Cenozoic predators occasionally chasing you out of prey drive curiosity. You could also have mega herbivore herds run alongside or away from the jeep out of fear of the noise. Adding to the cinematic quality of the game. Photo mode would go hard as a ranger. As a ranger you could get photos that you couldn’t ordinarily get as a park manager.
One last thing I’d like to mention that would benefit the game if we had this mode. You can get up close and personal with the maps that the devs poured so much love and work into and park managers can get a new appreciation for the enclosures they built.
