#An accurate Hybrid System for Prehistoric Kingdom

Yes
Hybrids are not a thing PK will ever consider because that's not the kind of game it is
Not like your suggestion lmao
Hybrids irl are extremely closely related animals, almost always within the same genus
You're suggesting hybrids across entire families
Ligers are literally both within the genus Panthera lmao
Yeah it's called PK isn't doing hybrids period
The closest you can ever hope for is breeding allowing for a minor mixing of skins way down the line but even that's not a high chance
Hybrids ain't happening, and wishing for them isn't feedback and shouldn't be in this forum
a liger in PK would be like edmontosaurus regalis and edmontosaurus annectens being able to breed
edmontosaurus-iguanodon in real life is like a lion successfully breeding with a German shepherd
I wonder if they could ever somewhat do a system like that in the game
like theres no way we're getting a proper annectens / regalis mix
But perhaps with the advent of the genetics system they could make the product of that pairing a really large regalis or smaller annectens
I mean tbh Panthera can also successfully hybridize with Puma which is in a separate subfamily but
No. Please no.
Smilodon and Panthera are split off at least 20mil years from each other
Archeopteryx and Microraptor are at least 30mil years apart
Elasmotherium and Coelodonta diverged in the Eocene
tbh, you have better chances of making a human-chimp hybrid than any of these 2 ever producing offspring together
Ew. May that day never comes.
in a technical standpoint yea, the hybrids would need new models and textures
which means more effort needed for something which thematically doesnt make sense
(also personal opinion, but hybrids undermine how amazing our existing prehistoric fauna were)
I don't think the actual idea fits the game in the least. It's nice to finally have a JP kinda game with a high degree of realism and accuracy I would never want it to turn into some dino-monster factory 2.0. Seriously that would ruin the whole experience.
GG @vocal dock, you just advanced to level 3 !
Neh
the timeline is showing how far of a timegap each of those animals have potentially genetically diverged from each other
