As someone who has dealt with birds of prey first hand, I can say birds are cool and all but they are only one way flight evolved among animals I feel that Prehistoric Kingdom could benefit from this by bringing us a few animals in the future that could really fit well in either the mini-aviaries or a larger, more modular aviary.
The three categories I am speaking of are Birds, Flying Reptiles, and Insects!!!
The below animals are split by category to better organize this idea.
-Birds
-Ornimegalonyx oteroi
-Bubo osvaldoi
-Tyto pollens
-Haast's Eagle (Hieraaetus moorei)
-Argentavis magnificens
-Leptotilos robustus (Giant Maribou Stork)
-Flying Reptiles
-Tupandactylus
-Pteranodon
-Rhamphorhynchus
-Anurognathus
-Hatzegopteryx
-Ornithocheirus
-Insects
-Meganeura
-Meganeuropsis
-Mazothairos
Of course insects could use a glass enclosure or vert dense, yet thin mesh to allow guests to view them.
How could this add to the game?
Ornigmegalonyx could be a habitat animal as it's thought to be flightless but recent studies thing it could do about the same amount of flight as a turkey, which if you have been around wild turkeys, they can fly a considerable distance to get away from predators and hunters alike. Same goes for Tyto pollens. Bubo osvaldi on the other hand was a massive flying owl that would have to be in an aviary to be kept in captivity but these owls could allow your staff or educators to do raptorial shows outside of the enclosures where they would talk about the animals while wearing a falconry glove. Haast's Eagle could be very similar to allow some variety.
That being said, these are just suggestions I thought would be cool and to be honest, as a past raptor handler, it could add so much to the game. Educational shows, new aviary types, and heck even some new animals to play with (which is always welcome to me).
Let me know what yall think.
