Hey I have groups tracking buffs - class specific and general( lust, pot etc). Is there a way to anchor the class groups to the general buff one while keeping everything centered?

You can literally set the group as the anchor frame for the other.
Often though, people do this because they want it to behave a certain way when the first group has nothing in it, and that generally doesn't work the way that's wanted.

I remember making a blank aura in first grp and anchor 2nd group to it. But then the groups aren't centered

#

if I anchor group 2 to group 1 will they auras remain centered ?

#

speaking of dynamic groups, i didn't specify

The groups are side by side? Then probably not, no

#

But if they're side by side, and you want them to centre, then why are they separate groups?

Well 1 group is of general buffs ( trinkets, lust, pot etc) and other is class specific ones for every class I play

I see yeah, so for organisational reasons as much as anything. But essentially you want the resulting Auras to act like a single group.
Maybe best to find a way to organise the Auras in a single group so you can still find the things you need.

afaik you can't nest groups/dyn groups in other dyn groups

#

I could put all the buffs in 1 group, all the classes + general and set loading conditions for the class ones but won't that affect perfomance

tropic drum

You can't put any kind of group inside a Dynamic Group

snow aspen

it would be 1 enormous group with many weakauras

tropic drum
#

There is a point of enormity that can affect performance yeah

snow aspen
#

so auras load in some way even when load conditions aren't met ?

tropic drum

That's not really it, it's more about the Dynamic Group having a lot of frames to handle IIRC

So I guess I keep 2 groups and find a spot for the "common" buffs somewhere in the UI

Thank you for the answers and your time
