This aura is not reccomendable. It will break basic functionality of your other weakauras and will have weird effects on other auras.
This "aura" could also better be a simple add-on as it ignore weakauras anyway.
Instead of just not recommending it, can you explain why it will have any affect on other auras? @lofty garnet
Because you are attaching garbage to a cloning aura.
You aren't using weakauras here for basically anything. This is not a weakaura.
I mean, it's not garbage. I'm also reusing the frames and not stacking them all over the place. There's no secure templates being used, and it's one-click-one-action.
Please provide insight/evidence before just disclaiming it.
Secondly, WeakAura is becoming increasingly popular for sideloading addons instead of making people install a million different addons. I guess you're running into an apple/epic store issue, but I hope you find a way to deal with it without being overly aggressive to devs trying to enjoy your work.
Clickables are just bad and will break other auras

See this message #pins message for details on the perils of trying to make Auras clickable
I read the pin, it seems to be specific about mentioning "Secure" clickables are bad. However, you can change and equip runes without needing an untainted environment, so I guess I still need more context to understand what is bad about my WA specifically.
Regarding clone regions, my understanding is if the clone region is updating and not stagnant, it's not going to just make a mess of the UI
If clones are reused it doesn't care about what was attached.
It will get reused. So all the stuff you attach the the region will still be there.
You aren't getting anything from weakauras for this, you are only getting restrictions.
I am not a weakauras dev, I am just a mod here that has to deal with the fallout if this thing going haywire.
I have seen dozens of those cases where the creator swore to have taken everything into account.
I guess I'll use/share at risk then, since the barrier to entry for making a weakaura-addon is too good to pass up.
IMO it'd be a nice compromise to give a config setting for WA to request non-cycling frames
That option or you just don't make clickable auras but instead just make an addon
I think #2 just isn't going to happen. There's plenty of other extremely popular addons that use clickables and even secure frames. WA is just too good to ignore its use as a sideload platform for addons, so I hope the dev team can empathize with this.
I think sooner or later it's just going to be a forbidden function to stop stuff like this as some people just don't stop at small clickables and make whole addons inside weakauras
