SUF Custom Dead Backdrop Color

Wanted: Party/raidframe healthbar of dead players changes to specific color
It is configurable in ElvUI but sadly not with ShadowedUnitFrames. Since this weakaura exists https://wago.io/hWNo8NzUL i was asking myself, if it would be possible to solve this via a weakaura.

Or you could make a bar that checks dead units and anchor to unitframe but you'd need to adjust the frame strata to get the bar in the background if you don't want to directly change the backdrop

proper solution is to do it in SuF, not in wa, and if it's not supported then solution is to make a patch and ask author to include it, or ask author to add support

I created multiple tickets over different platforms asking if it would be possible to include this over like one year. Didnt get an answer and do not have the knowledge to do it myself.

Texture anchored to unitframes, when someone is dead. Sadly the texture is always behind the frame, which makes the name hard to read.
I tried every frame strata without success

Is there anything more i can do?

You could either keep trying to get the author to update OR you code it yourself. As Lua is open source you could just change that yourself inside the SuF Addon Folder.

Thanks for the answer. The author is not really active and wont update i think. I dont have any experience with lua but i will try 🤷‍♂️
