my roommate has the Series X version so i'll need to ask him the size
on PC with all the DLC, it's 7.58GB
EXE is 406MB (thanks denuvo) so total, it's about 7.6GB on PC.

patch was a lot smaller on switch from what i could tell
it seems the contents in "obj_stage_title.pac" (the pac file that contains the models used on the island except for the sea/sky) were changed in a way, as have all the gamegear bindata files. "Sonic1u" and "Sonic2u" (the RSDK files for Sonic 1 and Sonic 2) also got updated, and there's a new pac in the text folder named "text_translation_only_xx" (the xx is in place of whatever language its for)
and also a bunch of the UI stuff got updated but i'm not sure what's exactly different
