#Orient Express

I have been waiting for this for months
And let me tell you this, I am not really disappointed. The carriages are work of art, nothing like lego have ever done before
Engine needs some modifications and I am sure the mighty train community will come up with something nice
I believe it should be able to take lego curves even tho there isn't an official motorization
YOOOO!!!!!!! I can't wait to see it in stores. If the pricing is reasonable, I think I might buy.
I definately love the interior. They've got a sleeper car and a dining car. I wonder where the regular passenger car is. I guess that's up to MOCers to do.
I wonder how many stickers are there, especially on the exterior
$300
It seems like all the orient express logos + city names are prints ❤️
Lol it was the first build vid that I came across
Only checked this and closed it
F
Wonder what will they do
Also people say these are the fully plastic wheels
Good for me lol
They gotta deal with it not me
300!??!??!?!!!!
That's high
I guess that makes sense though given that it's an ideas set and the detail on there is just so hard to resist.
I am super happy seeing crocodile pulling those carriages
I was afraid if 7 wide crocodile would be looking small but naah
Btw if any of you don't have the crocodile gap mod I highly recommend it. Really good
what is the crocodile gap mod
@pastel blaze There were instructions on eurobricks croc thread afaik. Can't check it rn
But visible in the left side of this picture
Now the real question is how do we make orient express run with 4 carriages
Ball bearings??? Lol
One carriage may have two motor bogies, what happens when you use one battery box with two motors? Reduced speed but more power ig?
Also main friction seems to be from locos driving gear. With crocodile it should be quite easier
I think it looks pretty swanky and i think Lego trains have always been a bit underrated. Ever since they really made an effort on the Hogwarts Express i think the Orient Express was an overdue but very welcome set!
Well i didn't buy it so i can't really talk...
I'm talking purely on appearance. Are both sets the same build train, 76423 and 76405?
Or set 75955 even
And let's not forget set 4758
Lego making 999th hog ex
I know right, i never realised how many there actually were...shows how much attention i didn't pay 😅
I never really understood why... It has to sell well, otherwise they don't make it over and over again
Personally I would prefer to have something new... like the PM 1225 or some american steam loco
Or just a new steam train
The loco of the Orient is not bad, but not great
Although I like the passenger cars
They are too good compared to everything else they did
OE is its own theme?
