Apart from minifigs tho there isn't much printing either. I believe the egg mech only has 4 printed pieces, the knuckles mech has 2, and shadow has 5

Metal Sonic is good, but I prefer his dimensions appearance a lot more, but this one's still pretty good

Well of course things based off non-physical figures will be much different.

I know that Mecha Sonic II hits me differently, he's tall with a short torso (kind of like me) but here he has stumpy legs and big hands like he was made for a sport like baseball or something.

I think that is to be expected

Metal Sonic is meant to be the same build as sonic

so it wouldn't make sense for Metal to have a different body mold entirely

I do feel Metal Sonic is a bit lacking in the printing department however

But he still matches the proportions of Sonic himself which is the reason why I think he doesn't need a new body mold

You just ain't used to it yet, Killer Croc had a legit bigfig in Lego Batman 3 but his actual physical one doesn't hit similarly at all, in-game minifigures are probably made differently so there's that.

Complaints from the Sonic theme is so clichéd believe it or not.
