A channel about all the top moments or funny messages in JLT. The mods could take a picture of a star moment and put it into the channel. Kinda like a fun memory channel

I'm pretty sure I had this idea a long time ago but it never came to fruition

I got the idea from another server I was in, basically users would react with ⭐ to a post and if it got 5 or so stars then the bot would post a link to that message in another channel

Come to think of it that would probably be easy to set up, just have the bot scan a message each time it's reacted with ⭐ and then check how many of those reactions it has, and if that number is 5 or more then it sends it to the star channel

Would just need to prevent it from sending the same message multiple times

in a server I'm in a mod will generally pin the msg if it's standout

that's in addition to say a concensus star reaction to one and then YAG can also pin it

and then as a result, we can feed this to some kinda channel if we wish to do so

And also that’s only the mods choice but we could do it were if 5 people react with a star it would be sent to the channel

I checked our custom commands the other day and noticed we have dormant code for what I assume is a starboard feature, but I have no idea how it's meant to work

@haughty pagoda I'm happy to take a peek. One thing I forgot to ask earlier, though, is which language these bots/add-ons/??? use. My day-to-day experience is with JavaScript. I've used Python in the past, but haven't done anything extensive with it in a few years.

Hmmm...that will unfortunately prove more challenging than I thought. I'm totally fine picking up a new language, but understanding it well enough to effectively contribute will take a good bit of time.

Its not bad for quickly creating a basis for what you want but you'll need to go in and tweak it to make use of it
