So the options.json.lock should be there while Foundry is running. It's when it's there when Foundry isn't running that it's a problem.

I'm wondering if you have an antivirus or a firewall of some kind that's blocking connections.... 🤔

ok the options.json.lock is working as you explained

as for the antivirus i only have the windows defender

i tried deactivating the windows defender and nothing changed

Windows Defender wouldn't be causing any issues... 🤔 This is a bit of a strange one, let me do a little digging and also poke some other mods and helpers

I've raised the flag, and done some searching. Found another person who had the issue, they resolved it after doing the data deletion and rebooting their machine twice (I have no idea why twice would matter), but at the very least trying a reboot of the computer wouldn't hurt

ok ill try that

i did that and upon restarting foundry it asked for permission to connect to public and private networks, i accepted both but the problem didn't go away

oh it worked
