Can you get a screenshot of it? Don't censor anything please, local IPs don't reveal sensitive information

#

I click port, then...

river jetty
#

TCP is correct, make port 30000

opaque forge
#

okay, then allow, then all?

river jetty
#

Yes

opaque forge
#

Then close Foundry, or should it work right away?

river jetty
#

A restart shouldn't hurt. Was there an option to select a device or enter a local IP address to send traffic to?

opaque forge
#

I think I did exactly this already

#

yeah, immediatly after that was the option for a port, so I put in 30000

river jetty
#

Ok, save all that and we'll see if it works

opaque forge
#

Doesn't work

#

What router do you have?

opaque forge
#

lemmie check, OH should I unenable the UPnP thing now?

#

could I have clicked something to mess this all up?

#

Do you want the serial number? It's a default modem you get in Canada. Says advanced wifi modem on it

river jetty
#

Yes, disable UPnP and try again

#

Try again as in check again

#

If that doesn't do it we can search up the router based on its model number and check if there's additional steps we need to take to port forward properly

opaque forge
#

not working

#

okay, going to find the model number

#

model name is CGN3U

river jetty
#

Hitron?

opaque forge
#

I've seen that name a not

#

on the port stuff

river jetty
#

Ok

opaque forge
#

Not really, but there isn't anything there for my mind to connect it to

river jetty
#

Weird

opaque forge
#

I mean like, that's a webpage that just talks about Hitron. It may be the right model and stuff

#

but I have definitely never port-forwarded before

#

I've only been dming for like 2 months, and we took a two week break

river jetty
#

I noticed that that's their business internet article. There's a chance that they might have different firmware for business vs residential.

#

But try following the steps there and see if they correlate to your router

opaque forge
#

the first step is to log into the modem. that itself is foreign to me

river jetty
#

Alright, press your windows key and type in "cmd", then hit enter. Then enter ipconfig, and hit enter again. It should show something like this. Enter the "Default Gateway" address into your web browser

#

That should take you to your router's login page

opaque forge
#

okay.

river jetty
#

Any luck?

#

If it prompts for a username and password, it looks like the default ones for that are
cusadmin
password respectively

opaque forge
#

i GOT IT FIGURED OUT!

#

sorry caps.

#

Thank you so much :DDDD
