Thats the SWADE Vanilla npc sheet or a specific module?

#

If vanilla, that I cant access items directly from the sheet, so i gotta import an actor to the world from a compendium to be able to see its specifics.

unreal bolt
#

are there modules for alternate NPC sheets?

1: Simple and easy to use.
2: No currency box. I have to use a mod to change currency on the bad guys (Item Piles lets me do it).
3: See #1.
(Copied from the main chat for ease of reference)

  1. I like that everything is on one page without needing to select different tabs to see something.
  2. I wish there was a button to add/subtract wounds/fatigue or spend Bennies instead of needing to delete then type the new amount.
  3. Being able to see what I need to at a glance, and using necessary components quickly and easily.

Like so many, many times.

  1. i like: the ease of use- drag and drop, edit easy. all info easy to find and a place for everything needed
  2. i dislike: not being able to "click to chat" or "show players" items from the sheet. ( a custom item you want the players to see or an ability that you want to share in chat to discuss it... the little thought bubble icon). Also, it would be nice to have a separate field similar to "Background"- that can be used for notes and play aids and reminders- keeping that stuff separate from background and appearance entries.
3.most important: quick referencing and info accessibility ( being able to easily create an NPC and access all available info on it's sheet intuitively. create, copy, edit and variations quickly. Plain and simple layout makes it less busy with unneeded fields and info blocks- i've converted several of my PC's to the GM sheet for this reason.)

1: I like the ease of use, it's simple enough and works

#

2: dislike: missing currency, the full size powers boxes are difficult to scroll through in the heat of combat, when there's more than a screenful of powers. Background box is a bit small for editing, and finally Extra NPCs start out with bennies and I need to toggle them to a wildcard, remove the bennies, and toggle them back to get them to 0 for some automations to work

#

3: most important is being able to access stuff quick without having to keep all the NPCs in a combat open at once

Ah, math functrions for the currency box.

unreal bolt
#

could you please elaborate on that?

cobalt herald
#

Something i saw on another sheet on 5e, you could click on a currency box that has currency on it, replace the number with something other, like +50, and after inputing the number, the sheet would add the earlier value and the new one.

Will do, think i got an account somewhere, yeah, github.

#

What was my password again? ๐Ÿ˜‚

unreal bolt
#

we're not on github tho, we're on gitlab ๐Ÿ˜…

cobalt herald
#

Yeah but it allows me to join with my gh account, anyway there it is.

unreal bolt
#

oh neat I didn't know that! I've had my gitlab account for so long ๐Ÿ˜„

Mostly, being able to see the description of an item in the sheet,

#

And by item I mean, things, edges, special abilities, items, that stuff.

Based on what I am seeing here and it sounds like the compact design is a plus for GMs. So we keep that for sure

  1. the sheet is a single window, no tabs
  2. adjust status quickly (up down arrows or similar for bennies, wounds and fatigue)...maybe roll attacks from the sheet like players?
  3. cleaner access to powers
  4. allow settings to customize the look

Anything else?

unreal bolt
#

actually the arrows for adjust traits is something that was suggested during my recent series of oneshots. The players in question had no prior experience with the system or the rules.

jolly radish
#

I like the arrows idea for both PC and Extra sheets.

cobalt herald
#

Perhaps arrows for gear aswell? that lets you change their quantity? (for potions and grenades)

drowsy hornet
#

I do like the quantity visibility on the PC sheet

One thing to consider is the possibility of making sheet partial designs reusable for other sheets. For example, powers on an NPC sheet might also be used for items that are arcane devices. Gear inventory could potentially be used for container items in the future.
