Okay we will continue in here

karmic solstice

ok

So let me double check that we have all the info: You can not connect to the local invite link from another device. Your network is set to private, and you ran the firewall rule I provided?

karmic solstice
#

yes

iron jolt
#

Okay lets completely turn off the windows firewall and confirm we can make a connection

karmic solstice
#

ok

#

no connection

iron jolt
#

So the only thing that would cause that is another firewall/antivirus or your IP address is wrong

Let's run ipconfig in your powershell window and confirm your ip address is correct

IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.100

#

Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

I just scrolled through all my currently downloaded apps

#

and I don't see any

iron jolt
#

No on your phone but on the host computer

karmic solstice
#

Yeah I meant for pc

iron jolt
#

You have the firewall disabled so you either have another firewall, or your phone isn't on the same network

#

I'm not going to look through your installed apps. You should know if you have installed an anti virus

karmic solstice
#

I'll try to connect to a 5g version of my internet

iron jolt
karmic solstice

yup

#

Ok it worked

#

the internet connection still doesn't work

#

@iron jolt As you asked previously

And you also have CGNat

#

It looks like you're behind CGNat. That will prevent players from connecting to you.
You have a couple options:

  • You can call your ISP and ask to be allowed to port forward and removed from the CGNat (start here).
  • Use one of the paid hosting partners. They do all the work, but it costs a bit
  • You can have one of your players host your game for you. (With an IPS that allows port forwarding)
  • You can setup one of the free cloud hosts (Guides available on the wiki)
  • You can try a 3rd party tool like ngrok, localtunnel or zeroteir
#

You're not going to be able to host for players
