@gentle nimbus I believe I saw you were in this boat earlier, did something resolve your issue?

#

What I've divined so far:
It happens for some worlds but not all.
It happens during migration.

The worlds affected so far have been 0.8.x worlds migrated to v9 (either migrated before 1.5.6 or not, both ways exhibit this behavior).

It appears to be actor data related

#

What we'd love to find:
The golden ticket here is if someone can find me an actor JSON which consistently reproduces this problem.

Hi @scenic dock . I'll see if I can glean something by backing up characters, then deleting them and see if that clears anything up. Is it PC's or can it be NPC's/monsters causing the issue?

Uncertain

Actors or any item?

actors

I've found an actor which has 1 item with no name. It seems v9 is stricter about this than 08 was?

Well, I found my problem - sort of. I had an issue last week with DDB updating. During that process I made a copy of a compendium with the old, pre v9 monsters. When I deleted that module (my process seemed to indicate that it was during parsing of this compendium the error happened), the process proceeded without hitches.

So it was DDB-imported monsters under the v8 formats.

Interesting. Thanks @gentle nimbus for your resolution

I don't know if it involved an actor with an unnamed item, though.
