That's the default (and only) distance currently. On a 100px map, it should be ~70px away from the center of the token.
I can see why you'd want it closer, though. On Square grid it didn't look as bad, so that's why it's like that
@scenic burrow try updating and check the new setting. I think something around 1.1-1.2 will look better for the hex grid.
That certainly improves it 🙂 . AFAICT the setting needs to be able to go below 1 to make the indicator go fully snug with the token, though (should someone want that).
There is another matter. Currently, the indicator points exactly in the direction the token has been dragged. My use eg. is for GURPS, and both for visual estethic and pratical game rules reasons, it would be nice if the indicator could be set to "rounding" its direction to always be at the center of a hex-side. This would mean rounding the direction to the nearest 60-degree increment for the above type hexes (column, and the only possible directions being 0, 60, 120, 180, 240 and 300 degrees, +30 degrees for hex rows, I think). Would that be something that was possible? And if so should I make it a request on github? edit: Oh, and I know I can adjust it manually with shift + mouse wheel eg.
