#Issue with expiration

Not simple calendar but its the same module yeah
Just didnt get simple because i dont like the UI
hm... it might not actually be the same. what's the one you're referring to?
Calendar/Weather
most things use simple calendar these days as a requirement
Simple calendar uses taht one as requirement
Or atleast used to
Right now i dont know xD
hm. i think calendar/weather stopped doing time stuff very recently. what version of calendar/weather?
Last i think, updated everything to see if it was version related
Weather Control (formely Calendar/Weather) does not do calendars anymore
The module hooks onto Simple Calendar to get dates and time

Yep just checked, calendar/weather doesnt do anything time-related anymore, it says it doesnt do it unless the system doesnt do it(and afaik dnd5e does it)
nice. yeah, so i'd install simple calendar even if you're not going to use its UI
When updating from v3 to v4 of weather/calendar, it should have installed simple calendar automatically
aaah okay
and disables features of Calendar/Weather to avoid conflict with Weather Control (the switch to the new module was a bit wonky...)
So you should see only one window (the one you are used to) with missing calendar options. If you want to change those you need to click on the calendar icon in the left toolbar, with
selected
About time or times up may be changing the time from 6 seconds to a round? i dont really see what's doing it and my head is about to explode, been like 1 horu and a half with that xD
Yep found it earlier as i just updated today, really nice feature
Ah so it should go out with rounds?
yep. it is for me, but I have simple calendar installed and enabled. can you check if you do?
Yep its there
hmm
when checking if it expires, are you hitting next turn over and over again or fast forwarding time itself
I really dont know why it doesnt go out, the duration goes to 0 and it even says duration expired, but still doesnt expire
Next turn over and over again
okay. that is strange... turns out i had an old version of times up though. let me see if it still works now that i updated
i was at 0.8.14, and now at 0.8.16
There's what happened
I mean i could delete it manually, just trying to get as much automation modules working as i can, we used to do everything manually so xD
right. you shouldn't have to do anything. give me one more minute
okay, yes. it's happening for me now
i assume this must be a times-up problem that got introduced in the update
I can fill in a ticket in their github if you wish
that would be a good idea. you can mention that it did not happen in 0.8.14 for me and did in 0.8.16
what is this you? lol if not then i guess someone just posted this also https://gitlab.com/tposney/times-up/-/issues/15
Nope it isnt me
๐
okay well, instead of making a new issue just comment on that one with your details
also, sorry if this bugs you, but.... @mighty wagon
Ok lol i guess its kinda common now xD
let me know when you post and then i'll add some more info if needed
Im probably very dumb but i gotta password recovery, its been months since i used github and i dont remember my password lol
that's gitlab, not github
do you have an account for gitlab?
if not i'll just post
okay
hm this does make me wonder if i should just not use rounds at all. if seconds works in combat
feel like it used to not work in combat... maybe that was fixed
just posted
seconds worked for me
you use seconds for out of combat?
i mean so because if it works both in and outside combat, it could be better for out of combat spells
yeah. seconds for out of combat, rounds for in combat. there was a reason for that... but it seems like it might not be necessary anymore. i'm posting as well
cool. thanks for bringing this up, and helping debug and stuff
np, thanks to you for the quick answers
At least i now know i must not break my head anymore... for today

Apologies all - I had a typo in the 0.8.16 release of times-up which disabled effect expiry in combat - 0.8.17 released which fixes it.
