How about our own thread?
@modern walrus can you post a screenshot of what it looks like when you 'Add Species' and select one of your compendium species.
I click in the blox and then I get a "select" button and click it and the the brower disappears and there's nothing in the species window
Another good thing about VC is I can share my screen
and try what you tell me to.
Yeah I'm just not free to vc nor do i really want to.
I'm not saying this in the thread, but I'm 60 yo with carpal tunnel LOL
I understand completely
When you click Add Species, send a screenshot of your entire foundry window without doing anything but clicking that button please.
tick one of them and hit “select”?
When I do that, the browser goes away and nothing is in the species window
I'm obviously insane as I keep trying that and expecting it to work. That is the definition of insanity, right? LOL
Errors in console or anything? (F12 -> Console tab)
I know, I'm the discord member from hell. I may be old and tech challenged, but I remember DnD as a box with booklets and red dice. Does that give me server cred at all to make up for everying?
no, nothing like that
wait, it worked when I did it again. Yeah, a bunch
I'll screen shot it. It might take a minute.
it doesn't show anything related to what we're discussing, just some modules that we still have activated even though they don't work as they're dependencies for modules that do work. (That's for The Forge) I see no other errors.
try with all other modules disabled (except the ones providing the content you are trying to use, of course)
okay
brb
Okay, I've done that now.
I'm going to try again to add a species
OMG, IT WORKED!!!
so, what is the problem module?
That is the question, ain't it? Lol.
LOL indeed
You can use a module called Find The Culprit, and lock your compendium modules in it and it'll run through splitting your module list, then you test and if the problem persists you click yes/no basically.
It'll help you determine the issue
that will be helpful. Thank you so much. Been fighting this for a week!
when something seemingly simple in the system breaks, it’s usually some module’s fault
even me with little to no tech savvy has learned that it's always a module LOL
