#Tidy5e support
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hello, Tidy 5e dev here. I am logging a github issue to look into this and get it fixed. This would normally have been expected to work, so something must have dropped off in one of my updates to the module.
What versions are you using?
Foundry
Dnd5e
Tidy 5e Sheets
I am using all of the latest versions
There is even another issue I've just found
I had an actor with the Tidy sheet, changed to the default sheet and now I can't open that actor's sheet again by any means
“latest version(s)” is full of assumptions that nobody can verify. giving exact versions actually helps.
Let me check real quick
Version 13 Stable - Build 347
D&D version 5.0.4
Tidy version 10.5.1
Might need to clear all favorites with a script. There was an issue with previous versions of Tidy where it would unintentionally allow adding non-favoriteable items to favorites. If purging favorites does not work, then it’s probably not Tidy’s doing.
If you would like, you can export the actor JSON and post here. I will gladly clear favorites for you as a test.
I don't think I have actors as favorites, but I can sure export the actor here yeah
To clarify: the actor sheet which is not opening, its favorites need purging.
Confirmed, I was able to see the incorrect Effects drop behavior on the Classic Actor Sheet. I will get that fixed for the next release.
Ok, tested and ready for the next Tidy release
The new character sheet was working like it was supposed to, but when moving the classic sheets to App V2 and doing the other major updates for dnd5e 5.0.x, the effects drop must have gotten lost.
Sorry for the delay I had some stuff to do
No worries. All good news on this side. I'll send you an updated copy momentarily
Does it work between two tidy sheets too?
Since you have a lot of favorites, I have only removed a few suspicious favorites which reference compendium items directly. This would have been Older Tidy's doing, not intentionally.
Try this updated copy on a fresh new actor, to see if it works and will open.
Thank you, will try right away
So it was an interaction with the favorite items that junked it?
Okay, I tried it, still can't open the actor in question's sheet
Ok, time to try the more extreme version
Do you want me to try deactivating all my modules to try to open it?
Ok, there was some item in there that was possibly causing a malfunction
Out of curiosity, I will pull the actor into a test world and see which item ID it is
sure
Very strange, it does not break for me with all favorites in place when I import this actor, even with the compendium item favorites in the favorites data.
Does Tidy open, now that the favorites were removed? And are you able to add favorites once again?
I'll try changing to a tidy sheet
I'm getting this warning though, idk if it makes a difference
This is the sheet right?
The warning ⚠️ doesn't relate to Tidy. It's just a sheet warning for the user to resolve with their items
That's the new Tidy character sheet
The "Classic" version is the one in your video
I see, I used the classic for a long time it seems, this one looks much better
got it
It's brand new. I hope it serves you well! We area accepting feedback on github and on the Tidy discord server
We will likely have a release in the next 1-2 days with the fix to the Effects drop issue.
The new character sheet handles effect drops just fine from my testing, though.
The Effects drop will be fixed when our update goes out, for the classic actor sheets.
Your character should be ok to use now with the updated JSON data. Unfortunately, it will need favorites added back to it from scratch.
it's alright because I now use the actions tab which was the reason why favorites were there to begin with
to send stuff to the "attributes" tab
There isn't a monster new tidy sheet yet right?
Monster / NPC
But I do see the appeal now to use favorites
they appear on the left side
I guess I was using the classing sheet for a long time
NPC sheet is under development.
I see, thanks for your quick intervention
Last update on this thread from me: Tidy 10.6.0 just released and has the Effects drop fix for all classic actor sheets.
Hello @keen vortex sorry for disturbing, I have a sheet that just lost access to all their spells. I was on the filter and by mistake selected something and now everything is just gone without return... Any idea how I can fix it?
Did you do any updates? If so, what versions are you using for
Foundry
dnd5e
Tidy
Version 13 Stable - Build 347
D&D 5th Edition Version - 5.1.0
Tidy 11.0.1
I updated Tidy and D&D 5e from the last time we talked
Ok, now when the tab blanks out, it means there was some kind of error on that tab. Are there any errors in the devtools console?
I did some initial tests on my side with a start hero (Akra). I used all the different features on the toolbar, but everything seemed to work.
Do you use Custom D&D 5e? Or any world scripts for adding spell preparation modes?
I don't
Can you export that actor's JSON for me to have a look?
ofc
Ok, I think it's a Tidy bug when no spellcasting method is selected. There's an empty option on the spell sheet, and it is crashing the spellbook tab.
Yeah, I thought the filter button shouldn't be gone when nothing is selected
This character has both Sorcerer and Warlock spellcasting and I probably removed both from the filter and it blanked out
Who has access to this channel? Is it just us?
I think anyone can look in if they wish. You can DM me directly if you need privacy
Sure, I just wouldn't want to share my actors with the public that's all
do you prefer in private?
Either way is ok with me
Hi. Sorry if this has been answered before but on the "new" NPC sheets the rolls aren't populating on the tabs. Damage is fine, but not the rolls.
PC sheets don't have this problem
Are they not populating on an SRD compendium monster like a Goblin or a Red Dragon?
Nope
Weirdly it's just that column too... the others are fine. It's also fine on the classic tidy sheet for everyone.
Ok, I’ll give that a look today
ty 🙂
Hello - whatever you did in the most recent update seems to have worked. Thank you 🙂
You’re welcome!
