open the dev console (usually f12) and reload the page. let me know if you see any red text

deactivated all mods and created a new character. I right-clicked on the char-token and then on status effects.

you wont believe me, but its weird.
I clicked 13 times on token, to see the status effects above.

I just right now clicked a 14th time and this appeared
