if you right click on the armor item and select "edit" you can see which hit locations it covers. Also if you drag the armor to an actor you should be able to see that the AP of some hit locations are increased
Thanks for your response, in this case what's the difference between location and hit location.
'Hit Location' indicates what areas a piece of armor protects (and typically where it is worn when equipped) while I believe that 'location' can be used to indicate that something not equipped is stored elsewhere, like saddlebags, backpack, etc...
yes, the location field on physical items (gear, armor, weapon) can be used to write where you have it (like on the farm) but it's also used to model putting things in a bag. Gear items have an "is container" toggle to indicate that you can put other things inside them. Checking that box makes those item show up in the suggestions you get when you click the location field.
You can also choose if you want to see your items organised by type (the default view) or by location, where you can see what items are inside what. And "virtual" locations like "at home" or in the screenshot "Riding Horse" are displayed in italics
and having that location setup for all players is quite good to have setup. I've heard too many times from my players such like "Surely I have 50 meters of rope in my pocket right now and not at the camp".
