I activated both those modules by them self, took a fresh light crossbow from the SRD to check and it still has the [object Object] so just activating both should replicate it

I’ve got both on with Tidy v8.0.1 and custom dnd5e 1.2.12 on dnd5e 4.2.2.

Any specific settings on custom dnd5e?

Well, it is adjusting the values that go into those dropdowns.

It sets the values for CONFIG.DND5E, and Tidy reads from CONFIG.DND5E.

Interesting, if you downgrade to custom dnd5e 1.2.12, the problem goes away. I'll see if I can find out the difference and why the default sheets still work regardless

Maybe something to do with the configurate item properties, I didnt change any settings for custom5e

True, it's just c5e (latest version) being on that suddenly triggers the issue

Ok, I see the issue

It's a Custom dnd5e bug, and Tidy is the victim suffering from it. The default sheets have some fallback logic that make it still visualize correctly.

Meanwhile, I can ship an update to make my module a bit more exploratory about finding the correct display text when something is unexpected.

It'll be a day or two until the next release Tidy v8.1.0 comes out
