I saw this in the package releases and got excited because I was considering making this, but now I don't have to. 😆

FYI, there's currently a bug in the system (which Chaos has already fixed) that causes multiple item grants to be added when adding things with grants. This means that the shape changed tokens might have a bunch of extra grants on them until 4.1.1 is released.
Weird, I haven't come across that bug. Was it a specific case?
It's if multiple owners of the same actor are connected at the same and one of them adds an item to the actor that has an item grant (e.g. an edge) then the item will be granted once for each of the connected players.
We resolved a deprecation and it turns out the new function is called on all clients not just the original creator

So doo I just duplicate my character? in dragon mode? and use that as the shape to go back n forth from humanoid mode?

make sure that dragon forms prototype token size is set right
Players should have the ability to drag and drop actors on their own shape change power but they need the "Create New Tokens" permission enabled in the user config. Drag/drop is disabled on actors if that permission isn't enabled.
If your GM doesn't want to activate that permission, they'll need to populate your shapes list for you.

Is there a way to use this mod to reflect a werewolf from the Horror Companion, without having the Shape Change power?
Not currently. I'd need to look into that. I imagine the rules for it are very different than the way the shape change power works.
Gotcha. I apologize for asking, but could you possibly suggest another way of managing the shapechange without this mod?

it doesnt handle edges/hinderances though, so those need to be remembered separately (like rename "in Were-form:...")

I used it before Shape Change mod was introduced and as character only has 1 form, never switched
Shape Change is really cool, so I'll keep it in mind for polymorph abilities, but trying to make it cover werewolves was challenging unless they already had arcane powers of some kind.
I have a druid in different game that wents nuts with it. And now game boggs down when he tries to deside what form to use every time 😂

I have to put him on timer (or loose round) sometimes
I may have to be careful using it, then. Part of why my group is using SWADE is to eliminate lag issues we were having.
It makes players lag, not foundry 😂
Love the module. Though I have an issue in my Deadlands world where every item window opens up on the character after changing into the new actor. I just can’t pin down what is causing it. Anyone run into this?
Yeah, known issue. I explain it in the wiki. It's a bug in the swade system. The windows should close right after, though, which is my hack to at least minimize the impact. It also only happens on the gm.

I don't suppose there's anything like this module that would just swap tokens and character art and leave the stats alone?

Is this an issue people have had? No matter what permissions I give it keeps giving my players this error. @hearty bramble
Your players need to be "Trusted."

Alright so i am using swade shape changer and the change shape macro works great, does what is intended but the revert shape does not. So i use the change shape macro drag the monster into the field the animation plays new token appears with stats, old token is made invisible but when i press revert shape the animation plays but the tokens do not change or update they stay the way that they were. Any ways to fix or update this? i haven't had my players use this yet im just trying to figure out how to get them to shape change consistently.

V12 I tried to download v13 and some bugs got in my way so i went back to 12
That surprises me. The v12 version hasn't changed for a long time. Have you tried with other modules disabled? Are there any errors in the console?
Also, which specific version of Foundry?
FYI, it works fine for me so there's something else going on here. I'm not saying there isn't a bug somewhere in my stuff, but you might be using it in a way that I'm not accounting for.
There are no console errors it just doesnt swap the tokens. V12 Build 343. I have not tried it with the other modules disabled thats a good idea. O im not trying to say anything is wrong with your work i just want to be able to use your work😁 .

Cool cool. Let me know what you turn up. Here are the steps I'm using to repro it:
- Select a token
- Click the shape change macro
- Select a shape from the dropdown (I also tested with the Actor Browser and drag+drop)
- Click Success
- Wait for the change to finish
- Select the new token
- Click the revert macro
I would recommend installing Find the Culprit. It allows you to easily temporarily disable modules for tests like this.
Also, just to be clear, when I was asking for errors from the console, I meant pressing F12 to bring up the dev console and then looking there.
I had not looked in the code itself. Thats what i found with F12
Ah, that might be it. Looks like you don't use SUCC. I'm probably making an assumption that it's enabled at some point. I'll have a look. Thanks.
If you want an immediate fix, installing and enabling SUCC will likely fix it for you.
I get this every time i try when i press install on the module the icon for install gos dark and if i use the url i get this
Ah, okay. I'm not responsible for creating the releases for succ and it looks like Salieri has done something wrong when he made the v13 release. Let me try and sort that out.

If you go here and manually download the zip, you can just unpack it to your modules folder and that should work.
I updated both the v12 and v13 versions to fix that error. Let me know if you still have issues.
And I'm working on getting the succ versions sorted out. I'll let you know when that's working.

So I'm a bit confused at how this shape changer works. I tested with my druid to shape change into a bird of prey and it didn't carry over my being a wild card with bennies
It definitely should and is unlikely something broke on it recently. Can you describe exactly what you're doing?
