In the gear tab you should have somethinhg like this, with the location of the bolts being the quiver. When setup like that, you will change the equipped state of both the bolts and quiver when you click the equipped icon. Also both bolts and crossbow needs to be equipped to be available in combat.

#

The combat tab should then look like this and you should be able to change the "ammo" of the crossbow in the dropdown on the weapon

#

You will only see "ammo" that is equipped in that dropdown, so if you are expecting something you don't see there - check the equipped state of the ammo.

Yeah, problem was with my logic here. I thought that carrying the quiver was enough and did not equip the quiver so also bolts could not be equipped. After equipping the quiver also bolts could be equipped inside the quiver. So yeah, just my logic was having an error here 🙂

Glad it worked out! And that there wasn't a bug - other than that the context menu for setting equipped was missing - I've added a case to fix that, it's just been forgotten

#

if you have the bolts in the quiver, then clicking the equipped icon on either the quiver or the bolts should change the equipped status on both of them

Had a test on this. It only changes the status to both when selecting for quiver but can't setup equipped by just selecting for the bolts inside the quiver. But I think this is quite reasonable as Quiver is the natural one to select as equipped and everything inside is set to same equipped state.

OK I see it - if I edit an item and change the equipped status from the item sheet then I can only change the "outermost" item. I guess that is a bug, but you really don't need to edit an item to change the equipped status, just click on the equipped icon on the gear tab of the actor sheet and it will cycle through equipped, carried & notCarried. It will also work no matter which item you click on if they are "in" each other.

#

As a tip for quickly getting in or out of armor - give all your armor the same location. Now you can click on one of their equiped-icons to dress or undress them all in one go.

I tried to click the icon multiple times with no change. But had to take another look on what I was doing wrong. I understood that clicking on the icon of the item was supposed to make a change which really did not do anything as it is not supposed to. And then I noticed that there are also clickable icons on the right side between enc and location which work as you described. facepalmpicard so yep, no need to open that edit gear anymore...

Sorry for the confusion - yes I didn't mean the icon for the item, but the equipped icon - like the "shirt", "bag" or circle
