@strong berry Are you able to access Foundry's local invite link from your computer?
Since you mentioned FOundry runs on your wife's
my wife can send it to me
Sure, try opening it :)
ok one moment
Yes, I can access the local link
we have players who access via internet tho
I'm well aware of what your goal is, just ruling out a local firewall preventing access even from the local network, where your router sits for example 😉
Spectrum has a mobile app to configure port forwarding you'll need
Sign in to your Spectrum account for the easiest way to view and pay your bill, watch TV, manage your account and more.
ah i remember this lol we set a port up once at our old house
but i couldn't remember all the steps
let me send this to her
Gotta do the same thing, the guide has it below
If you need info on what to put for Foundry I can certainly help you fill that in
Just need to tell me what the app wants :)
sorry we're trying to figoure out the app lol
we did a web browser before
so this is new
Unfortunately (or well fortunately for me) I can't assist with the app itself, as a European I've had no first hand run-ins with Spectrum :p
oh haha no worries
Okay I have my wife's computer selected
so now it wants
assignment name, external port, internal port, and protocol
i assume that's where the foundry stuff goes
Name: Foundry
External Port: 30000
Internal Port: 30000
Protocol: TCP
Assuming you haven't changed foundry's default port, ie the invite links end in :30000
okay, it says it is updating and might take a few
okay, the internet booted us off, so i assume it's done now, how do we test it?
Restart Foundry, check the invite link dialog, if it shows a green checkmark you're golden and can invite external players through the internet invite link
Happy to help :)
have a great night/day
