#Simple Calendar configuration issues

Hey I'm just jumping into bed (2am here). SC is the source of truth for the time so it should always be displaying it correctly. I don't see anything or if the ordinary in your screenshot.
Can you export your configuration and send it to me (here or in a DM) and in the morning I can have a look and see if I can replicate the issue. https://simplecalendar.info/pages/global-configuration/index/import-export.html for how to export.
Things you can try:
- restarting foundry, in case something strange is going in there (I don't think this will help but never hurts).
- exporting your configuration and importing it into a new world and see if the issue is present there. If not you can try importing that configuration back into the original world.
There could be a bug, especially with a custom calendar, that I will need to fix though I'll have to have a look to know for sure.
yeah totally! apologies if the ping woke ya, 100% no rush!
restarting didnt seem to work, but I'll definitely export and send it over to you. Thank you for responding!
tried importing it to a test world, and the issue did persist, but wasnt there before the import.
Was it something funky I'm missing that i accidently swapped? oh dear.
@potent copper I found the issue.
Under the Leap Year Settings you have the Leap Year Rule set to custom and set When Leap Years Happen to 0 years which is causing the calendar to really get confused. If I set the Leap Year Rule to none, or set the When Leap Years Happen to a number larger than 0 the issue goes away. I don't think you meant to have it happen every 0 years so this should be an easy thing to update.
I will also look at fixing that so you can't have 0 as a value as that doesn't really make sense for figuring out when leap years happen.
thank you so so much! Glad it was a simple fix-- love love love the module! its integral to the campaign so when it was broken i was freakin for a second
you the best
thank you a million
No problem I'm glad you are enjoying it!
may i ask ya one more question regarding the calendar? figured you'd know best haha
i feel like its probably just another setting im glossing over but i cant seem to figure out what
Yeah absolutely
on the very top, it says the 1st, but i have the 9th as the active day
is that a box i accidently checked as well?
That section was meant to just show the month and year, with the calendar below showing the current date. If you use the arrows that text updates to show the month you are viewing. So it doesn't make sense to have the current date there.
I think to show something it always defaults to the first day of the month, even though days aren't really meant to be shown there.
That setting is configured in the display settings under the Month/Year Format setting.
Ahhhhh ok! I'll go ahead and fix that up then. Okay sweet, thank you! haha
No problem! It's called Simple Calendar but with all the customization you can do is really anything but simple lol
yeah haha but its great! the only think im missing to make my calendar totally match my custom calendar is week names.
During my games, the 5 weeks each have a title and you'd count them as the 9th of the Month for 1-10
and the 3rd of the Early Week for the 13th, for instance.
so its like
month
early week
mid week
late week
days of rest (thats the weird 5 day week)
its a bit funky haha
Yeah named weeks is a frequently requested feature and I am working on it!. There are a few week improvements I'm working on that will hopefully be released soon
oh no way! thats great news!
dude thank you so much
im lookin forward to it for sure!
Yeah it will be a bit, life and such keeping me busy haha, but I am working on it
ofc ofc! def take your time, love everything that you guys do for the community, it's the best. Hope all is well in general outside of foundry as well!
