Ok, so far Chases, Grapple, Mass Battles, Social Conflicts, Networking

I know those are already easily done as Trait rolls but people always seem to ask for a button for them
Is there a hook whereby we could add these to a sheet on creation, like core skills?

I think having an action might make logic for those easier
or they can be rolls on the action
like "Soak", "Unarmored Hero", "Iron Jaw"
ya that makes sense to me, Soak really sticks out as the type of thing that wants an action
or smart coders can later say "when using x action apply y bonus"
Can we have template buttons?
I mean anything is possible just a matter of resources
don't think there's a technical reason why an action can't have a template
Until know I used actions for grapple, feint (& resist feint) and entangle (with resist entangle with str & athletics and attack object).
I added resist options to all the powers, so that should generally handle entangle outside of grappling
unless I guess some item or weapon does it

I was thinking of including the rules text in the description
so when you open the "suppressive fire" action all the details are there
we struggle all the time
and some functions may, one day, be more advanced
Combat Tricks - Open ended but specify a skill or trait, that can result in Shaken. It's a big perk of Savage Worlds that non combatants can still help
I think it's much more powerful if it has the rules text in the Action, FWIW (the obvious downside being that then it has to be in the premium module, and the community can't help compile it)

Actions triggering macros is on my to-do list. I had a mostly working prototype done a while back.
For Fear I guess you can link to the macro in the text for now
any value in taking the list of possible actions ({Trait, Resist, Damage}) and also adding {Roll on Rollable Table}?
If all the macro is going to do is link the to table, it's kinda redundant
oh, hmm, doesn't work for (eg) Fear though. You need to apply a modifier.
Right the Macro handles the modifier too
But roll on table might still be good for things like creative combat...hard to tell
Need to use Actions more in game play to get a handle on the flow
I just took a look through the discussion and didn't see a scenario where an action applies an Effect when clicked. Right now if I put an action on a character it immediately applies the Effect. A good example would be using the Defend action which give +4 parry for 1 round.
Actions are specifically meant for things that require rolls. Defend does not. You can just apply the +4 parry
Can actions trigger an opposed roll? e.g. roll Intimidation vs Spirit or the like?
