Arch Linux, Linux 6.5.8, Sven coop is not launching for me. I use wayland based desktop (sway), and have tried steam with both native system libraries and steam libraries, and even got libiconv system lib side to be sure that was not any cause.
Attached logs:
Logs.txt: svencoop.sh -nosteamruntime LogsWithRuntime.txt: svencoop.sh

Also tried hl.sh change that previous thread mentioning ubuntu had, and did not work
lastly should note, -nosteamruntime I seem to see "initial splash screen" for a few seconds before it exits completely, without nosteamruntime i see nothing and no window appears at all
Sorry for the late response, did not realize they changed this into a forums system until now. Have you tried changing the compatibility settings in steam to runtime?
Try with -nofbo together, I'm thinking about a issue I saw long ago about Steam Overlay crashing the game with FBO enabled.
Seeing the logs, it may be not the case due to corrupted size vs. prev_size in fastbins that indicate a glibc compatibility issue. Try what Riza said by changing Steam runtime settings to other than 1.0 scout.
Runtime 2.0 or 3.0 should work.
Went into compat settings for game. Did force compat. Only had runtime 1.0 (others are downloaded, but it only gave me 1.0 runtime option), ran using that, and it works perfectly fine now
Pretty much every distro besides Ubuntu based ones have this issue btw
