keep seeing "your discord installation is corrupt" every time i log in to discord and am unable to use my microphone. it does not detect any of my input or output devices. ive tried uninstalling, deleting the appdata folders, as well as using canary and PTB. anyone know a solution?

Try running Discord as Administrator and resetting your voice settings (User Settings > (App Settings) Voice & Video > (Scroll to the bottom) Reset Voice Settings)

It's is only on apple products. Also everyone has access to the web-console due to discord being run as a web application. You can't actually get access to experiments or things that're getting tested unless they "authorize" your account for it. It's mostly random users given access.

It depends purely on the way your role and channels role permissions are done. A good rule of thumb is:

If new people shouldn't have allowed to anything, turn off everything on the everyone role. Add a channel to verification where they can get a role that gives them the permission to see and join channels.
This way you wont have to touch the everyone role every again.

Another one is. If the roles has permissions under sever settings -> roles then you don't need to tick them off in the channels/category. Since by default they have access to the permissions.

That is because if an account gets hacked, the hacker will probably still have access to it even though you might have changed the password, they could just get in the same way they did the first time, spam servers and maybe even nuke them which is why terminating a hacked account is a better idea to keep everyone safe.

I have an issue where when I talk i sound wavy even in the mic test section.
I have tried the mic on another computer it has no issues.
I have tried a known good mic on system issue occurs still.

I have tried both front and rear 3.5 mm jacks
I have tried with and with out my USB DAC/AMP as well.
Issue occurs in both browser based discord and software, including Canary build.
I have attempted multiple reinstalls and to the point of full scrubbing my registry of any discord keys and appdata.
I have attempted many varaitons of the sound settings and none make a change.
The issue does not occur in any other programs or websites, I have done full minute of speaking straight in both windows recorder and online recordings.
Teams and Zoom work fine with mic.

Also to be sure I have fully updated windows other then moving to 11.

It isn't but, content. You have to give people a reason to be there, and give people a reason to share it around.

When a random person is advertising their server everyone is just going to look at them weird, or only join to cause trouble. When someone they know is sharing it around and it has some merit inside. It will grab more attention as something that's interesting and not just some server to sit in for the emotes
