Whether this is possible is debatable, but probably not true. Because that means a huge security bug. Nothing can be achieved using just cdn and opening a large version of a photo.
The reasons for this are simple, The CDN service used offers the same link and hyperlink in the small image and the large image.
What information will they be able to obtain? Will they learn your password? Discord encrypts your password. I believe that it is not possible to reach your information through a photo. But it's true that some ppls Discord's crashed thanks to photos. (e.g. crashes due to incorrect video format)

There is a bot called as DoubleCounter, and the bot is basically a anti alt bot, so, the problem with the bot is I 6 months ago joined a server with my alt account just because I didn't trust it. And the bot verified me, Now the bot every time i join a server with the bot in it, it never lets me verify and just throws an error that I am already in the server with the alt which is not even the case. And they expect us to recover the acct etc etc.
I want to report it, can i know where can i report the bot as it just forces users to change the way they use discord π¦

The CDN used for these scams arent using Discord's CDN but a fake CDN similar to all those fake nitro pretending to be Discord by using a typo'd domain. They try to emulate Discord's CDN links but the main domain isn't Discord's.
So yes while the scam is real, the method mentioned in the screenshot is partly false.

Is there a better way to raise awareness of scam servers than just sending a report on the Discord support site?
I know of 3 active scam servers right now, they've been reported by several users including me and yet they've been active for over a week.
It's so sad to see a user join a server, type a message and within seconds disappear offline, then added to their list of scammed users. This happens repeatedly. I've managed to warn a few users, luckily most were already smart enough to have not run the file they get sent but some still are!
