Bottom line is, it needs the ID to know who you are on Fortnite (or Epic), and vice versa, your Discord ID to know who you are on Discord

Pretty sure your userid is actually visible at all times ingame in one of the corners

At the end of the day, if you don't trust an app, do not authorize it.

I'm trying to set up a channel for my server's onboarding (or welcome screen/server guide), but I keep getting the error:
“Check that the permissions on your To Do and Resource channels are set correctly. Error: Channel is invalid.”
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
Created a brand new text channel, not duplicated
It’s not in a category

Only everyone has permissions:

✅ View Channel

✅ Read Message History

❌ Send Messages

It’s not NSFW, not private, and not a forum or announcement channel
I waited and retried multiple times
Still getting the same "invalid channel" error
Is there something I’m missing? Or is this a bug? Appreciate any help!

Have you double checked all channels. This error will show up if any of your onboarding stuff is set up improperly

Remove all roles from the channel except @ everyone, make sure @ everyone has View Channel and Read Message History only. After onboarding is set, you can re-add other roles.

also, make sure - when you actually get a response from support - you MUST reply to the mail if you want to answer the response of Discord support; making new tickets won't help and will be closed/ignored automatically

because I did the same, in my server the main role is Space Nomad and had set up all to this to be the main one, then the onboarding stopped working, then the Discord support told me to not do it, and when I put it all back to what it was before, the onboarding worked beautifully again, and even though the everyone role has this set up, I still can put all restriction I want in any channel I want too, so, give it a try, and if that's not the case, then you should contact Support for sure... sorry if I can't help more

Okay so in order to do that, your going to want to on desktop act like your going to start a basic subscription, which does require a payment method just incase you don’t cancel it.

Then it won’t charge use, and it will use your basic credit and you can then cancel the subscription without worrying about it charging you later on.

My friend told me what happened basically he was in a server and he got into a argument on discord, keep in mind my friend is 15 and the person he argued with was 19 at the time, This older guy sent him death threats and told my friend to harm himself. Then my friend unfairly got banned for child endangerment.
