does anyone know where i could find someone to help me with discord roles for channels? Here or a different server. I have an issue where i am trying to apply a role so that beginners can see the channels and read the messages, but cannot type in them until they pass the requirements of the channel and get the channel roles so they can interact with those channels.

the only thing i know for sure is it is a user error, i filled out the wrong ID10T form... >.>

to further explain what i did:

1.created a role called "Approved player"
2.set the permissions to view channel and read messages... but cannot type in channel.
3. placed the role low on the list of roles, so that the others, theoretically would override the channel
4. added that role to all of the channels, as well as created roles for each channel that allowed them to view, read message history and type in the channels
5. made sure those channels were higher in the roles than the "approved player" role

resulted in a problem where no one with the approved player role could type in the other channels

The goal is to allow beginners to see the other channels, but have to pass certain tests to gain access to the other channels as far as typing in them.

This has eliminated a lot of spam bots that join my server, but in order for me to even do this, I have had to disable onboarding. Does anyone know a way I can set this back up? The only problem is that I have no default channels available. Which is understandable because the server is locked down.

Hello, I have a problem with my discord. When I join a chennale it often restart itself or looks actully like its crashing. Pluss I use this sound when I join a room and even that sound sounds robotic. My friends says the sound is normal for them. All this started to happen some days ago after some updates. im trying to make a role that isn't allowed to invite people, i realized after a discord update those users with the role are able to in invite people now.
i went into the role settings and turned it off as well going in each channel and tab and disallowing them to invite users. i also realized my @ everyone role is missing and only shows when starting to edit an role

I'm really struggling with a problem on my Lenovo Legion notebook and I could use some advice. Whenever I try to stream games on Discord, my friends see a yellow thingy in the top right corner and the whole stream lags horribly. On top of that, my voice starts sounding like a robot and my friends can't hear every second word I say. Here's the weird part: this issue only happens when I launch any game. If I'm just streaming my screen without any game running in the background, everything works perfectly fine.
I've tried almost everything I could find on the internet, but nothing seems to work. I've updated my drivers, checked my internet connection, adjusted Discord settings, and even tried different games, but the problem persists.
