In app reporting is the most practical way to report something, or makes things usually more speedy on discords and the users side. Though sometimes I even use the support portal to forward report information, it's just not practical but may work if nothing else does.

Well that felt kind of disturbing. They are kids. They should not have to learn internet safety the hard way by being exposed to unsafe content targeted towards adult because Discord fails to realize their entire ecosystem is a hot bed for exploitation. They can't even implement server reporting on desktop client apparently. "Client" that is just a browser webapp packaged in to a container.

They know exactly what’s going on, on there platform and there’s always a good reason they do the things they do, at the end of the day though you have to understand your only responsibility as a user is to report the content and then leave the server, you have to trust discord to do the rest and can’t hold yourself responsible for anything else

Yes, I've seen people get accounts back after 50–90 days. Discord support is a joke. Also, I just noticed your ticket is solved, which probably means you sent a bunch of tickets and they were detected as spam. I suggest only sending one ticket, or it will take way longer than it needs to be.

If you can prove it with a self-admissable message then sure.

But that just sounds like an in-house issue you need to solve.

Hi there. I’m new but kinda came here for a reason. I was wondering how long it may take to regain an account or get word back from staff. A few days ago, someone got into my account and changed the associated email. I had to file a request recently because someone scammed and hacked into my account. They changed the email, so every time I try to send in a report, it keeps saying how it need to send it from the email associated with the account. I have proof I’ve provided several times over the requests as asked that the email I’m using was the original email before it was compromised. Even having an old Nitro subscription email. I was told the ticket was escalated and then Clyde auto responded saying how they can’t do anything at this time save for the original support. I’m so confused and wondering how long it may take to get a proper response back from staff, if any at all.

I'm looking for advice about an issue on a discord server on which I'm part of the moderation team.

That server is one about cryptocurrencies, making our users extremely vulnerable to scammers.

We've been under attack by scammers using a couple hundred different discord accounts for a couple of weeks now.

They join our server one bye one, by interval of 5 to 10 mins, and get past our filters by using "weird characters" in their usernames.

We're looking for a better way to deal with them as for now we have to ban them manually. Usually, we get alerts from our members not long after the scammers have joined and start spamming "PMs" or "Friend Requests" to our members.

We have reported their user profiles one bye one probably 300 to 400 times to Discord already and no actions have been taken.

We have also used the "Report Raid" function of the server 3 times now and we are still under attack (their latest attempt was literally a minute ago, as I was typing this)...

Any suggestions please ?

Ok, I think I can confirm that your accounts do get deleted after 30 days of being suspended. After 30 days, I couldn't log into my account through any 2FA methods. keys, auth apps, or even SMS. I would get an error "404." or "Invalid Code." But my email is still "registered." I'm not sure if that's because Discord keeps your account information for awhile after it was deleted. My actual Discord profile still looks normal (as I left it before I was suspended).  This could still all just be a personal problem and have nothing to do with my account being deleted. I still have one ticket open. It was created 1 month ago and had activity 9 days ago.

I'm asking cuz smth weird happened last night. a stranger came to my dms and said "Sorry I reported you while I was trying to report someone else." and then they said I have to talk to someone who is a discord mod. I got their discord ID and went to their dms. then this mod said that I recieved 18 reports within a month about things related to fraud and stuff. meanwhile I have never done such stuff in my life and I only use this app for talking and calls. anyways then this guy asked me to change the gmail associated to my discord account to his email. I didn't think this through at the time cuz it was so stressful so I just did what he said. then he logged all my devices out of my account and said "Your account is under maintenance". Things seemed fine until he asked me for 20$ razer gift card so he can lift up my IP ban from discord. then I went to support and asked if this is true or not. They didn't give me a proper answer, since Clyde replied to my ticket.
