Hello, I need some help, I've done some googling and checked some basic FAQs to find a solution but nothing has helped me;
Whenever I join a voice channel it has audio levels "saved" so to say, and will default to these values, but I have to set them to something else every single time I join and I'm sick of being ear destroyed with my one friend I set to 200% years ago when his mic sucked and now it won't "save" to a lower value

I'll show the screen shot of the single bit of "support" I got.

It was a double team effort. One hacker spoke as a trusted friend and said they saw my account fishing on a server their appart of and sent me the contact info of a 'support agent'

It was a guy called Hank Smith, and I looked him up and he is apart of discord support!

They hit me while I was tired and had me change my email to help with a 'scan' and I finally realized it was a scam when they asked for money.

I was too late changing my email back and they booted me off my account.

In my experience, the intervention is server-related, in other words, you might be able to ask for and receive server-based interventions through mods, but that kind of activity is unlikely to be stopped outright by any authority

Windows uses a relatively new file system called NTFS. The operating system in general is stable, however issues can occur over the time due to improper system shutdowns, software conflicts, and registry clutter or other things. In certain scenarios, a complete reinstallation of Windows is required to resolve issues.

I thought you meant a video game. If you're streaming from a copyright website it could lead to issues with your Discord account because you're streaming from a source that does not have a license for said content however if it's from a source such as YouTube it should be fine. I'd try streaming from a browser such as Brave or reinstalling the Discord client.

You can try to boot into safemode and download anti-malware like kaspersky to remove any bad/unwanted files.

You’re gonna need to check those folders: appdata, programfiles, programfilesx86, and the registry.

You really should have been smart and not click on links or download stuff man.

If you really want to make sure everything is cleaned up, spend the money and take it to a local tech to make sure, that’s gonna be the best way to save your files.

Yeah, discord can’t help you when you’ve went past their protection pop-up and what not.
Once it’s on your pc, it’s up to Microsoft or Apple or a local tech from there.

Malware bytes isn’t a bad program, but people who are good at being bad know how to bypass malware bytes.
Kaspersky is a tool that can detect and remove stuff, but you’d need to boot into safemode first.

If you know what you’re doing, make sure in those folders, you recognize everything, if there is something that isn’t Microsoft or normally suppose to be there and you don’t know it, get rid of it.

You can google all default files in appdata, programfiles etc.
So anything extra is something you installed, on purpose or accident.

The registry is important to check out too, as some viruses will re-write things, add things, remove things, that are important or harmful, and even block things.

Hello, can someone help me with a problem I've been having for a long time? Or well ideas on what I could do about it?

My problem is the fact that I do not have headphones at all and I'm using my Laptop's microphone (In the future I will buy a microphone to fix this issue but for now I don't want to buy anything). The problem is that other applications like Youtube or Apps / Games that I open can be heard by others when I'm in VC with them and noise suppression does not seem to do much to fix the issue.

In settings I know there's an Input Sensitivity but that one really does not help me at all or makes things harder.

I'd like to also avoid push to talk as that is bothersome.

Gotchya, so yeah at this point, the only thing you can do, is reach out to google for your Authenticator app and see if they can recover your discord authentication, otherwise say goodbye to your account. You’ll just have to make and use a new one.

You should never delete your backup codes, very dumb thing to do. They’re there in the event you have issues with your Authenticator.
