but you can very well have onboarding disabled for the time being so this issue doesn't occur

Does anyone know anything about how discord banning alt accounts works?

For example, someone is banned from our server, but we've unbanned the account and it appears they have an alt that was banned at some point which prevents their main account from joining.

The problem is, they don't know the name of the alt account, their main account is unbanned as far as we can tell, but Discord still won't let them join our discord because this other account is banned. There's essentially nothing we can do because of this, and discord provides no logs as to which account is preventing them from gaining access to join

The concern is that since there is a lot of channel turn over, as events are created and completed, that event channels will get moved to “Suggested Channels” and reduce visibility, which is a huge problem. I’m wondering about Suggested Channels. My server is for an MMO and we have a bot that makes events in the form of channels. The concern is that since there is a lot of channel turn over, as events are created and completed, that event channels will get moved to “Suggested Channels” and reduce visibility, which is a huge problem. How does Suggested Channels work? Is it connected to Onboarding and if we don’t add any channels to the Questions part, will that prevent Suggested Channels from appearing?

I'm not sure, I'm not getting an answer, either! Do you have onboarding? I think if you have a question set up that adds a channel for someone, it switches to selective channels (disabling the seeing all channels thing) and turns on "suggested channels" .
