My main account got banned for being “underage” despite the fact I’m well into my 20’s (I assume a bot read me jokingly saying I was a certain age or something)- I submitted a ticket with discord with a photo of me holding up my ID and username but I didn’t get a confirmation email and it’s been 3 days. I need access to my discord for event and personal communications so I really want to know how I could elevate this

Nobody reported me as a joke. I can absolutely verify as such because I explicitly said “what am I twelve years old?” In the statement I assumed got me banned. No sane human moderator reading that would actually interpret that as me being underaged. It’s most assuredly an automated process- and if not, their manual banning process is extremely bad and either way it’s a very frustrating false positive

You have to remember that due to laws that have to take anything that makes it look like your underage regardless of if it’s a joke or not as real so they don’t get fined lots of money.. that’s why you get disabled and then have a chance to appeal

Well it’s great they can ban me in a day’s time for no genuine reason but then when trying to appeal the false positive when I have time sensitive communications to deal with on the platform it’s a waiting game. Indefensible.

Best thing I can come up with would be to use a bot like Dyno and setup a custom command. When the command is run the bot mentiones the role. (See image 1). Then scroll down to "Permissions" and choose "Allowed channels" (See image 2).
Make sure to have the setting "Disable everyone, here and role pings" DISABLED or else this won't work.

Yeah, that filter can sometimes cut you off if you’re speaking to quietly or your dB in your voice is too low. You can always set that to standard or mess with it in other settings.

Play around with it and see if any differences are made. If not, set back to original settings.

Good, I am glad issue was resolved. Since your discord worked, but profiles weren’t loading, my immediate thoughts are intermittent connectivity issues.

If you had a computer, you could know for sure by running extended pings and tracerts.

Anyway, if you have any further issues, I recommend checking other apps and seeing if there are loading issues on those too.

But our public access channels have permissions set to view channel/read mesasge history / add reactions. And that's it. We use Dyno bot to delete ALL links except to those roles that are allowed to. And we even tested and it worked. But somehow today they did it again and we dont know how

Real staff have access to your account and they can view reports.
If your account did not violate terms and what not, they will not proceed.

Having this date on his profile is a way to always remember this person and thank them for everything they did for my son. Discord, having no heart, closes tickets instead of helping, and my son lost his badges because his computer and his friends' were remotely controlled by a hacker who committed fraud with their accounts. Legal actions are being taken to recover the accounts and against this hacker, but the team said that for the badges, we need to contact a specialized team, and no agent is helping us, which is not normal. Some Discord employees surely have children, and I believe seeing their child constantly depressed wouldn't make them happy as parents, and they would do everything to try to help their child. Discord, would never DM you like that. If it looks dodgy, it is dodgy. Discord staff usually have a badge on their profile (it's also toggleable by the way) to tell you that they are in fact staff.

If Discord is banned in that country, it's likely that you will be geo-blocked. This is nothing to worry about and it's likely there to help you. When you get back to your own country, you should be able to access Discord again. However, if you aren't geo-blocked, just be careful. You could just remove Discord from your taskbar and/or phone homepage (not uninstall).

Yeah np, the beta testing you've opted into is a alpha release, and alpha is the least unstable, but also they use yellow for it.

When the app turned yellow, it could just been an indication that you're now officially on the unstable version of the client to test.

Discord canary on desktop also has a yellow app icon, so it makes sense.
They're both alpha releases of discord.
