there are two points of concern with your ticket, at this point.

Good. The other thing is, one of the first things the scammer/hacker is going to do is change the email away from your own email, if that's in their control to do.

Either by hijacking your email, or convincing you to change it to one under their control.

That's the tipping point at which your account is no longer in your control. Anything else is recoverable without a ticket.

If you filled out that form correctly, they should be interacting with you via the email listed on the form.

That form is designed so that you can fill it out with an account that is not the affected account. What they'll do is return that account to the old email address. It'll take them some time to get around to the ticket, and some time to verify it.

For me it was the same but the reason the hacker got me was because he was using an account of someone I had associated with in the past. Plus other correlating circumstances that made it seem legitimate, to it happening late at night, even doing a malware scan on the file beforehand which turned up nothing.
