The person that sent you those instructions has had their account compromised. If they're a friend, you need to warn them.

If you have mutual friends, you need to warn them too

DISCORD STAFF WILL NEVER:
Give you up, Let you down, Ask you to change your account's email, Request a 2fA code from you, DM or add you randomly as a friend, Help you outside of an official ticket, or tell a lie and hurt you.

And additionally, anyone can talk in code boxes.
Support wouldn't bother with it, even if they were staff.

Okay, there are ways. One of them is to enable an app lock over discord if your phone supports natively. I have done that and the notifs appear just ambiguous. The other way is to play with notification settings at your Android settings

The latter differs from handset to handset do gotta figure it yourself

You would probably need to change your password and email super fast to avoid getting scammed.

But even then, there are some that are potentially lightning fast.

The safe bet is to change your associated email's password, and your Discord accounts information to something random but recognizable to you.

No. The hacker is able to leverage control of your account through the email. Once he has the email, he has the authority to change your password, and your name, etc. Anything you can change.
