I'm hosting a minecraft server, which is when the problem started to happen, I got an intel I9-14900k.
But when Im hosting the server, which only puts load on a single core, the discord app, will just crash on startup no matter what, It'll load up and I can barely see the black background before it shuts down.

And have tried most things from google, to dissable, reinstall, yadyada.

Does any1 know if this is just a discord limitation of it not knowing to use a core that is not already being used, or if it's a windows 11 fault or something els?

Discord handles a lot of tickets a day, especially hacked account tickets. It could take awhile but you just need a level of patience as it would be hard enough on them to go through it all.

That can happen if the Spotify client is having a panic attack and unable to share playing details.

But if you have private session enabled then it can also occur.

Either restart Spotify or turn off private session, stop then play a song.

In rare cases you may need to remove the connection from the account then reconnect it. Can happen if the connection is outdated.

The other way is to go into your Spotify account settings and remove Discord from Authorized apps, do the same for the Spotify connection on Discord then reauthorize Spotify.

Hello, i have been trying to configure channel permissions for a wehile now and i cant seem to get it to work, did discord change the roles work or something?

my issue is
for example

Advertisements channel

• Adding a verified role which can see the channel (you cant see the channels by default without any roles)
• Adding a advertisements channel role to give permissions to type in there
• Adding a muted role which bans them from talking in there

the problem what im facing is when you have the ad channel role you are still able to type even though you have the muted role

i want to mute someone without having to remove the ad channel role basically is what im trying to do

There's no steps, at least none beyond what you'd usually try to do. The button just straight up does not work. And it never has since the UI Update.

Have admin in a server, try to use the '...' button to modify server settings in any way, button does nothing. Go to a server without admin perms, button works fine.

They really don't care and it's not just this that makes me think this way. None of us even wanted the UI to begin with, it was straight up forced upon us with no option to revert and that's it.

Notice the subtle UI change for adding attachments yet? Instead of showing you a photo gallery where your keyboard is to give you quick access to photos, and two separate buttons at the top for camera or files, now you have a menu that pops up to ask you what you want to attatch. Why. Literally why. Not only is it less effecient, but there was nothing wrong with the old way.

But it used to be. Discord USED to be different. Back when I joined the platform it was a platform made for gamers, by gamers. I'd love to say that I'm the only one suffering with UI bugs that have been present since the new UI. And I would LOVE to find out it's just an issue with my specific device - But there are other people with these issues and that confuses me. I get discord can't test things on every single device for every single situation, but I've made bug reports, opened support tickets, etc, all to zero response and the last one I made was nearly a month ago.

I still think the new UI shouldn't have happened. They tried to separate Desktop and Mobile interfaces when in reality nobody wanted that as we liked the familiarity. Those are my close friends, I 100% trust them and even if they hurt the server, we are less than 10 and it wouldn't really matter!

Thing is their accounts can be compromised and post stuff that's against TOS in those channels which can lead to punishment to both the server and you, as the owner.
Anyway, you could make a new account and transfer server ownership there

Hello, new members and even current members can not see new channels, it instead appears suggested channels, respectfully I do not like this feature, how can I make it so people can see all channels, I've heard removing onboarding fixes this issue? This also happens in other servers too not just mine.

Well there is a way. But the reason why I don't mention it is because it's complicated unless you know how to build a bot.

A bot can create a server (If the bot has less than 10 servers if I remember it correctly) then in theory you can have it that way where you can have all the perms you need but the bot could say no if you make it..

Discord even easily lets you switch between multiple accounts

You could do that but then you have two accounts. Bots are easier to create than having the need to use a new email address, phone number and all the horrible recommendations

I don't want to though, because it creates issues, first anyone can join and talk, hate raids and such which has happened, and second of all, bots can message other people and annoy them, is there really no other way but this? No the issue is, I give them the role, they should see ALL channels which that role provides, yet it doesn't it will show some as 'suggested channels'

Why are you making it role-based though? You can just select which channels people can see in onboarding. This sounds like unnecessary headache

Because I can give them the role once they are fine, otherwise anyone can join, esp bots which dm people a lot, or hate raids, their built in raid alerts did not help me last time c:

Discord has built-in protection for people who mass-dm other people in your server. You will receive an alert telling you that an user is sending suspicious DMs and you can choose to ban them.

What you're doing is an unnecessary bypass. Any bot maker can make their bot click an extra button to get the role that gives them access to everything

But that's the thing though, I am the one that chooses not them clicking a button, I've kicked multiple bots this way, if it wasn't that way, I would've had multiple bots dming one person regardless if I ban each one, because that means one person is getting 10 bot dms per week
