See that's what I would assume, but the first reply I got for an initial ticket (I used the wrong email) said: Furthermore, please note that data associated with deleted accounts are deleted or anonymized 14 days after beginning the deletion process for that account. If you deleted your own account or if your account was disabled for a violation of our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines more than 14 days ago, we would have no record of that account existing, and so would not be able to recover the account. but if my ticket is still in it, then who knows.

Then I’m a little confused by the mixed messages.

If they did compromise your email account then you either try to go through recovering the email account immediately then make sure to deauthorize any unknown devices or change email address on all the important accounts

I see that Discord lacks the capability to delete direct messages sent by someone else. It essentially allows anyone to add content to someone else's account. Is there more background on why Discord is designed this way?

It is an interesting design and distinction vs text messages or Signal. It must be that Discord's DM is a view to the server record rather than each account having its own record and the communications being recorded separately on the sender and receiver.

Tell them to check their inputs in User Settings -> Voice & Video

And to ensure their microphone doesn't have the hardware mute switch on (If applicable) or that they have configured the default recording device for their operating system.

You may also need to check your Voice & Video settings too to ensure Discord is using the correct output as well

I need help, this new Discord Voice Chat status thing is actually awful. Another possibility is that you have the time and time zone set manually on your phone, and set the time zone incorrectly. TOTP codes are based off of UTC time, so if you're actually in, say, New York and have the clock set accurately to noon, but your phone's time zone setting si for LA, then when the Authenticator app converts to UTC, it'll be wrong begoure it thinks you're three hours behind where you actually are.

You could try using VoiceMeeter which can split inputs and outputs so you could build it in a way where you could limit 1 input, say music.
So that you can speak or the other way around.

As for video recording OBS is one way which you can use VoiceMeeter outputs then stream the video across using the projector for the source then hook Discord to screen share that.

I opened a ticket to Discord Support and until now only Clyde (the bot) has replied to me saying obvious things such as "Your account was disabled for violating our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines. We will not reinstate the account.".

Anyone ever had an issue where someone (just this one person) can't see a channel? They can access the channel only if they click on it (not the tickbox) via the Customise Channels and Roles UI but not via side channels list. So, not a perms thing I don't think.

It's a public channel inheriting permissions from it's category, and they can see it's sibling channel (which also inherits). The category has View permission on Everyone and no roles negate that. They have explicitly ticked it in the communities' Customise Channels and Roles section; even following the whole category. They can't get the channel to show on mobile or on desktop. They've left the server and rejoined. It's only affecting this specific person out of 3.5k or so.

i dont think discord mobile has implemented anything positively significant enough for me to warrant putting up with the big negatives tbh

i'm also doubtful updating would fix the freeze bug considering it was an issue when my app WAS up-to-date still
