I had an unwanted badge because I was attempting the Discriminator override(legal) which is basically you write a username with the same discriminator which gives you a random discriminator. I was in the middle of it and that this happened- didn't expect it come so fast.

I'm all for the unique username system, though most of the usernames that I have wanted to get were already taken, give for one.

This sole username was not already occupied but was also "unavailable" whenever I tried to claim it.

I have tried multiple channels of contact with Discord support and still have not gotten a response, as you can imagine it is a very frustrating situation, especially given the lack of transparency of what is going on right now regarding usernames. Lots of theorycrafting and speculation on how things may and/or may not be.

What I want to know is whether or not these "reserved" names for whoever, assuming the account is inactive or just dead or just haven't migrated when prompted, if there'll be a forced migration wave that'll force all of these to assume their reserved names. Or if it would be generic placeholder names. If before then these "reservations" would reach an expiry date and then allow anyone to take said names.

After numerous testing, the (MURT) Multiple User Reservation Theory makes the most sense as to what it means and is the most popular belief.

So how does the (MURT) work?

Multiple Users will be reserved the tag name that they had before the cutoff (March 1st). Which means, nobody else with a different tag name than you before the cutoff will be able to grab your reserved username except their own.

Wait if **Multiple Users** will have the same reserved names, then how will they get their name if only one person can have it?

It is "first come, first served" for the user(s) with their reserved name to claim it.
There isn't any additionally priority or ranking system based off how long you had the tag name or even tag number (Ex. #0001)
Which essentially means that if a 2016 (January) account called "Bob#0001" received the username update but was off Discord at the time watching a movie; then a different 2016 (February) account, "Bob#3894" could grab the username "Bob" instead of the Bob#0001 who was too late.

This is good for preventing people with one name from suddenly grabbing some other user's name that they had for a while; but it sucks for those who had a common name (like Bob) that's already claimed and now has to pick through a system that has a bunch of pre-reserved names.

Everything above has pretty much been confirmed by users with testing.

There's a lot of unnecessary RGB here and the buget could certainly go towards a better GPU (especially for gaming). 32Gbs of RAM for gaming is certainly overkill and again the money should be redirected for a better GPU. Also can you please tell me which exact CPU this is?

Tbh any Nvidia card in the 30 series and any AMD card from the 6000 series and upwards is what you should be aiming for if the budget allows. 40 series Nvidia is just bad in general and 5000 series AMD isn't that great especially factoring the discounts on the 6000 series rn

Ahh that would be the Intel i7-3770 after a dug a bit deeper. This was part of Ivy Bridge and was discontinued in 2019. If you can get it at a good price, there's no problem but anything over $100 is not worth it tbh

Discord Support is staffed by real humans, and they get plenty of spam reports as well as more complicated reports which take a while. If you want to, you may close the ticket and then reopen it, though that'll only put you further back in the queue.
