He was removed from our server because we felt uncomfortable with him in our server and he proceeds to like name off ToS / Guidelines in Discord

Perfect actually! If you use your volume slider, there are three dots at the top, the audio slider will change the activity and other audio and the call one will change your freinds voice :))

So press volume down button on the side of Ur phone.

Press three dots, look for the music note (sliding it up or down will change the activity and other audio) or the phone icon (will change the other users voice audio)

A. I would be careful joining those kinds of servers. There's a potential to cause more harm then help.
B. You may be getting ratelimited. I would give it like 10-20 minutes or an hour then try again.

Then there may be issues with their invite. You can also double check that your client is fully up-to-date. You can do this by checking for updates in your app store if you're on mobile, or press ctrl + r if you're on the desktop version

So, its an issue as a whole, an old issue I used to experience. Whenever she goes to turn on her camera, discord breaks. Like Voice Chat Stops Working, She cant hear me I cant hear her. The only fix is by shutting down Discord through task manager

Majorly confused at the moment, Discord disabled my account because they thought my account was compromised - Reason being either I gave someone my token, or the password I use was breached on another site, I don't use the same password across different sites, nor did I give anyone my token, I made sure the email I got wasn't a pshing attempt, and it wasn't considering my account was actually disabled.

I changed my password, logged out all devices, and changed my TOTP key just in case, but I have no idea what triggered this.

Only thing I could think of is maybe I fell for a token logger a while back, and someone sent it somewhere, so it just disabled my account automatically? I know they do that with bots, though I don't recall ever clicking anything.

My account got disabled earlier today (I assume)because I got invited to a random server that broke TOS majorly(I didn’t know the person that invited me they just friended me out or nowhere and I accepted). I fully intended on leaving the server and didn’t do anything wrong nor even speak in it but my account was randomly disabled for what I assume to be association, even though I had only joined the night before and fell asleep.

I’ve had the account for 5+ years now and there’s messages and things I’ve saved that I hold dear to me, not to mention losing all the people I had friended and servers I was in. So as you can imagine getting it back is pretty important to me.

SMS MFA is less secure yes, but you also have to have reasonable concern with what you’re securing. A government system with access to thousands of records, SMS won’t cut it. A single discord account with little significance, SMS is fine enough as a backup. Assuredly I wish they had some other form of MFA such as in-app push notifs then the TOTP, but 🤷🏻‍♂️

SMS attacks are very rare. While you're not wrong that it does represent a marginal reduction in security, a SIM swap or SS7 attack is very unlikely against a pretty low value Discord account. Maybe once usernames ore out if you have a valuable name, sure, but for the overwhelming majority of people, the risk of losing access to your account by locking yourself out is way greater than losing it to a relatively difficult attack that straight up does not scale.

For a lot of people, a discord account if hacked won’t be a big deal and thus use SMS in case if they lose the TOTP codes. Personally I think a more secure route is keeping your backup codes somewhere other than the device your 2fa is on to ensure you don't get locked out of your account. I personally don't have SMS Auth on due to SMS spoofing and other potential security risks with it (if you're concerned about that I'd suggest doing some research yourself). If you value being able to log onto your account in the case of loosing both your 2fa and your backup codes more so so than the potential risks, then it's probably best to enable it though

Also unlikely for someone to try and compromise your account using that method unless you have a fancy badge, nitro, a rare username, etc
