remove any and all distractions from your vicinity (this includes things like your phone or games etc), make sure the only thing you have open is necessary (things for studying and maybe some music but thats your chouce) and make sure you let others know you're studying so they know not to disturb you

to be completely honest this is the best way to get started but another way that i study (it helped me with my final exams that i had a year ago) was what i call the 'shoebox method'. i write down everything there is to know about a subject or the topics i need to revise and put them all on their own flashcards. then i put them in one of 3 shoeboxes. the shoeboxes were labeled 'tomorrow', '1 week time' and '1 month time' but you can change the name to what you want. with those i put all the flashcards into the first box titled tomorrow and the next day went over them. if i felt comfortable with the card i moved it to '1 week later' and if i didnt they stayed in tomorrow. the next day i did the same thing but didnt touch 1 week later as that was reserved for the next week. the next week i went over all the boxes and if i felt comfortable with the '1 week later' card then i moved it to the last box and left them there and if not then i moved them to the tomorrow box. i then prioritized the tomorrow box and the end goal is to move all the cards to the final box

i know its a lot of text but honesty, if it wasn't for this i dont think i would have passed my exams

There isn’t really one single way to do it. My advice is usually to make yourself unique. Do something different. Don’t just do a server that’s about a topic. If it’s a large topic, like a popular game, then there’s most likely already a bunch of those servers, and it’ll be hard to gain any traction.

Give people a reason to choose your server over another person’s and be active. Host events, have game nights, interact with the community, stuff like that.

So, the background here is:
In a certain server, I made a role for people to join by putting x in their username, and they wanted me to make a server for it so I did.
Now, I can't exactly promote in that server so my only choice was to dm everyone that was armor atm (91 people in total, and if the 41 currently in the server are armors then I have to dm AT LEAST 50 people.)
But, I reached discord's cooldown after about 10-15 dm's and after when I tried to dm someone (for other reasons) I was given a captcha.
I don't want to get banned either temporarily or permanently from discord because of it registering me as a spammer, but I don't know IF it will do that/how I can give the username people an invite.

when agreeing to the ToS you agree to not modify the client. Better Discord is a modified client so it directly breaks the ToS. I would make a wild guess and say most BD users dont do anything harmful with it. Discord probably got methods of tracking people who use BD, but theres so many users that doesnt cause any particular harm to Discord that would be better to not ban them and instead focus on those who are doing more then changing their font family or ring tones

i get that from time to time. try restarting your pc, go to control panel -> programs & features and completely uninstalling all instances of discord and then try the setup again (run as admin). if that still doesnt work, you may need to temporarily use a different client (it sometimes fixes itself over time)

The badges are incredibly difficult to obtain. If it was as simple as just 'reporting bugs', they wouldn't be so exclusive. Keep reporting bugs, make detailed reports and MAYBE you'll be invited to D-Testers. And then you will have to do even more tasks within that server for a chance of getting the badge.
