I'll tell you. Along with @eternal ravine's explanation, they use an IP grabber. these are common and I know which one they probably used. You can avoid this by blocking discord from opening Samsung Internet (If you set your default browser as Samsung Internet.), and also throwing a VPN as well.

All of that info is passed to any webserver your browser visits, you don't need any special stuff. A VPN wouldn't really help with most of it anyway, just the IP address itself. All the browser fingerprinting stuff in that list would still be just as visible.

Open a Run command using windows button + R and enter the following: %appdata%\discord.
You'll see a folder in explorer.exe, search for the following three folders and delete those:
Cache, Code Cache and GPUCache.

After you deleted those from %appdata%\discord make sure you remove them from the trashbin too so they are being permanent deleted.

Now restart Discord and see if the issue still appears.

you can use the Get User endpoint and check the flags field

You don't "transfer it to the bot", you just run the code. You can run it anywhere, your local computer, a raspberry pi or spare laptop, a VPS, an Amazon AWS instance, if you're not using the gateway you could do Cloudflare runners, etc. Think of your application like a robot client. It needs to be running somewhere to do anything. If it's not running, it's just like if you didn't have Discord up, it won't be able to do anything.

Note that most of those options outside of running it yourself at home cost money in some form - that's right, most Discord bots you see cost money to run. (You could validly argue there's also an indirect cost in self-hosting as well because of power use, but that's small enough and incidental enough that unless you're running a whole rackmount server in your basement, I'd say it's probably negligible.)

Before someone says "but replit is free", yes, it is, but it's also only good for basic testing, and tenuous at that. Replit uses shared IPs on the free tier, so if someone else on your shared IP does bad stuff and gets IP banned, your bot's offline too til you move it to a new IP. That's the problem with free options, they're filled with abuse.

I will say that I've heard oracle's cloud has a generous free tier, and it'd be all individual IP space so you'd be fine from the replit issue, but I've never used Oracle Cloud so I have nothing useful to contribute there. I will say - as politely as possible - that setting up a cloud environment might be beyond your current skills if you're still at the "where do I write my code" stage of learning.

Hi there, does anyone know how to report a server to discord properly? I've recently been invited to a server and when i joined it was a pretty big size piracy type thing but they also raided people and harass others.

I'd like to try and make sure people don't get hurt/upset/in legal trouble because of a discord server like that

does anyone know why when i convert a gif to an apng it uploads as a static png to discord? if i inspect element on discord on the web browser to steal a sticker from a server, and then download it with the link, it saves as a .png and uploads animated just fine. but why can't i convert gifs to apng? what am i supposed to do? i'm trying to make stickers
