Depends what your server is for :o generally though for mine if it’s a softer community (mental health, aesthetics, animal related etc) I make it soft and aesthetic with lower case on everything and softer colours for roles, and I use less categories :o

For a more bold community (like gaming, sports etc) bolder aesthetics work :D and layout wise you could potentially put the VCs at the top or near it if they will be used a bunch

There’s also tons of servers out there that give aesthetic and design ideas for how servers should look and what layouts you can use :o

I'm almost sure you do since mobile works different than pc and you can't really manage billing there, I don't have android but I assume it works just like ios and when you try to buy nitro it goes directly to the phone payment thing (in your case google play). You would also most likely need to wait till your sub expires to renew it on mobile, but there is a 3 day grace period to not lose your badges

You won't lose badges unless you fail to renew nitro within 3 days, you can cancel your sub from day one and nothing would happen

The only thing that cancelling your sub does, is stop the auto renewal of nitro, which is good if you want to manually renew it

You're welcome to ask questions, just be aware of the fact that the help you'll be getting is from other users. If you need something that actually requires Discord staff intervention, you'd need to submit a ticket as there's no live support from Discord. (So, things like "how do I do this", "I'm having this issue" are likely to be met with helpful responses. Things like "help recover my account", or "this server is breaking the ToS" will result in you being directed to submit a ticket.)

My problem is very odd

my computer crashed, and I rebooted to find that discord was not launching properly. I was getting an error that I don't have a screenshot of, that I later discovered was from the updating software, saying it was unable to run

attempting to uninstall discord gave me the same error (as I think uninstalling discord uses that same part of the program files)

When I try to reinstall discord from discordsetup (the installer you get from discord's website), I'm met with this error

I can't paste images here? The error is a windows popup that says "this app can't run on your pc // to find a version for your pc, check with the software publisher"

At the advice of some websites/videos, I deleted the discord folder from %appdata% and %localappdata%, no help

I would check the task manager to see if the application is still running and end it

also I'm not sure how bad it is to delete the appdata of discord without uninstalling it but uhh maybe that's why you can't uninstall it or reinstall it

oh I just checked and discord itself is installed in the appdata so if you deleted it all, makes sense why it's broken

This seems more like a discord support issue, if you're too lazy for that you could also try installed discord canary

discord canary is like the experimental version of discord, there is another even more unstable version but canary is usually used by developers and people that want to be chosen for some beta stuff (you have to be chosen, but you're more likely to be chosen using canary)

To be honest, this sounds as though you're suffering from either corruption or infection. You might want to spend some time running virus scans and checkdisk.

thats strange because it only started happening today and i've been able to stream perfectly fine up until then, it only happens when i try to stream a specific application, and i can stream a whole screen or stream an application on the web version.

Okay, I did read back. Advise of doing a scan for malware can indeed be a good idea, I'd suggest you to let the computer be checked by an trained expert over at the forums over BleepingComputer. They can help you on a one by one with more advanced tools and advice. They'll also inform you when the computer is clean again.

Make sure you close Discord while doing this!

Open a Run command using + R and enter the following: %appdata%\discord.
You'll see a folder in explorer.exe, search for the following three folders and delete those:
Cache, Code Cache and GPUCache.

After you deleted those from %appdata%\discord make sure you remove them from the trashbin too so they are being permanent deleted.

Now restart Discord and see if the issue still appears.

It also depends on the combination of CPU and Motherboard used in the laptop.
But typically I would say like 3GB I think with a fully clean fresh install of Windows on idle

Basically you can't redownload backup 2FA codes without your password, and you can't disable 2FA without 2FA or Backup codes, sooooo you're kinda stuck.

Help, this has been happening for a month now, and it's honestly frustrating. I have been using Discord without any profile pictures of people appearing. I also have trouble playing videos because it does not load at all. Yes, I can see the thumbnails and any pictures, but I can't play any of the videos uploaded. Server Icons also do not load, including some emojis. Yes I tried using browser version but same thing happens. I also changed my DNS and tried uninstalling and reinstalling Discord but nothing works. I think this is a problem with my Discord since I was deleting some files to free up space in the Control Panel but I really can't find the problem. Please help :(

Can you open a command prompt with administrator right and do the following?
This can be easily done using the + X combination and choose it from the menu.

ipconfig /flushdns, followed by an enter.
ipconfig /registerdns, followed by an enter.

netsh winsock reset, followed by an enter.

Now restart your computer and let me know if the issue still appears.

So I posted a feedback suggestion to the Discord support feedback website, about the forum posts locking ability I was talking about previously. I managed to get access to the feedback site. And I came to an interesting discovery. Turns out the login form doesn't work at all on Google Chrome. I may have gained the access some time ago previously (don't actually remember that well), but can't log in back. After I log out and I try to log in back, it just fails, says "invalid auth token". I know for sure that the password I used should work, yet it doesn't.

So this is what I did. I fill in the login form using Bitwarden (my password manager) and click login. It then shows this little "invalid auth token" box, and I can't scroll the page, can't close it, can't click anything, it effectively locks the page, and I have to refresh it again to use it somehow.
