You would need to store timezones for that specific feature based on what the browser pulls.
That feature breaks when you have a privacy focused browser or one that doesn't report that data. So yes you would need to store that as if you move timezones then it needs to be adjusted accordingly. But you could do it based on IP but that isn't helpful either as you're polling to a service that has that information on IP addresses

Discord doesn't strike me as one for innovation nor willing to build something like that.
