Although what I would nip in the bud would be to ban the joint words “Discord” + “Staff” + “Support” etc in profile details, just as happens on Steam, which blocks the joint words “Valve” + “Support” and so on. I don't know why they haven't done this already, it would significantly reduce the plague of scammers.

All this could be detected, even with AI. An alert from Clyde could pop up saying “It seems that this person's message is suspicious, don't trust this person who tells you that he has inadvertently reported you”, for example, just as it happens in other situations where Clyde pops up when your message is automatically blocked on a server.

Smartphones especially are meant to serve as a daily driver, not create gated communities.

You mention the point of paying for an OS, you actually don't need to. There are many third party apps that lets you customise windows without activation 😄
Android is slowly becoming stupid, raising prices to match apple's price point.... Why? I wish Android brands remained to serve their reputation as Apple killer but now both companies are just hell bent on copying from each other.

Imo Apple is literally just a public status atp. Top Android flagships are also following that trend which is disheartening but kudos to them. How long did it take em to implement a hint of customisation? 18 versions?
Ecosystem is not a gimmick - idk how customers are living without it then. The percentage of customers not implementing Samsung, Apple ecosystems are lower compared to those that don't. If it's something you don't essentially need but the product is sold advertising the ecosystem as a feature, imo it's a gimmick.
