Well ... I was in grade 12 and it was spring and I was wearing flipflops. And I stepped on the door jamb on the way out the door and my foot slid. I turned my ankle inwards (my right ankle btw) and pulled every ligament and tendon in it.

I ended up in a cast and back then it was just those awful white casts. My graduation dress and sandals matched lolol. I had to wear it to grad.

And my friend gave me a piece of foam so I could rest my foot in the car and drive but I couldn't walk very far lolol. So people carried me. Hahahahaha

To this day ... lots of years later ... it sort of clicks at times. But it is strong and I can do good squats and leg presses and all that. Knees are another story though. Lolol.

So please ... get it looked at, get physio if needed, and don't neglect or mistreat your joints. 😁

We are blessed to live near a lake that is abt 135 km long. And there are abt 100 lakes within a days' drive. So we could have many places to have a picnic. Not so much a barbeque because of the fire risk. But we are heading into winter now.

The last time we were at the beach this summer, someone found a wee bird fighting to get out of the water. She rushed in to rescue it and kept it on her blanket until it had a chance to dry off in the sunshine. I gave her some watermelon to let the bird eat but didn't want it. After a while she placed the bird on a branch and it flew off.

Then a couple months ago, my friend and I were in a donut/sandwich shop and a wee bird flew in. I was able to capture it and it sat on my hand for quite some time outside until it was calm enough to sit on a branch and fly away.
