One of my friends had been using discord to run his buisness for years, and he completely changed to something else because he couldn't manage this. The old UI was quick, easy, simple to learn, and nice looking.

Fair enough, but the app itself was made for that and for younger people, it wanted to be different than every other platform and that's what we liked about it, gamer or not we liked it cause it was different

You can still use it for normal messaging, but the app is made for gaming and talking to people online, it's not a normal messaging app and it shouldn't have to be.
